Fix my eyes.

He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind,[d] he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.”  – Matthew 14:29-30

Peter was able to walk on water as long as he kept his eyes fixed on Jesus, and believed that He was the Son of God.   The moment Peter looked down, he began to sink, and cried out for help.   Taryn shares of her journey of learning to keep her eyes lifted up, and fixed on the One that offers her hope.   When life’s storms hit us, they hit us hard, and it’s difficult to remember who He is.  I prayed nearly daily through my most recent trial that He would  ‘Keep my eyes lifted up to see Him.”    In a very real and tangible way, Taryn captures the fear and timid hesitancy to trust that we face when we look to Him.   Remember, it’s when we are weak that His strength is made perfect.  Just keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will meet you there.
