If we stop to take a look at our current situation, or financial, relational, physical, vocational, or political health, can you see challenges and unknowns? Uncertainty leads to fear that can capture us, cripple us, and consume us. God promises hope in the midst of that fear. Let’s explore that hope together.
A Light is Coming
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. – Isaiah 9:6-7
700 years before Jesus Christ was born in a manger, God spoke through a prophet named Isaiah. God spoke into the darkness about a light that was coming, a light that would overcome the darkness and conquer our fears.
