Second Chances

“I never gave Him a chance, but he chose to give one to a wounded and soiled dove like me. ”

– excerpt from Elizabeth’s Story

Welcome to the world of second chances.   Guilt and shame can follow us through the years, even after we’ve left the mess behind.  We all make mistakes.   I know there’s a lot of things I would do differently, if I had it all to do over again.

“What if they see how we really are on the inside?  Hurting.  Helpless to make it stop.  Ashamed.  Guilty.  So guilty.  Guilty that we let our buddy go first, and he didn’t come home.   Guilty that we tried to quiet the loneliness with the wrong thing.  What if they could see?   What if they could see what we can’t forget?  What we can’t undo?” – excerpt from Battlefield without Boundaries

We aren’t able to change our past, but we can let it go.  How is that possible?  Because God can let it go.

as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. – Psalm 103:12Journal Pics (2)

Today’s promise reminds us that God forgives and forgets.  There is free and full forgiveness for anyone that asks for it, because of what Jesus did on the Cross.   We don’t have to carry around the guilt, or be ashamed of who we once were.   This is your second chance.   You are not alone.

If this is new to you, feel free to reach out to us and tell us your story.  You are not alone.
